Heartbeat Church is proud to support the work of the Deepgruh Foundation which was founded by Prabhakar Salvi. His vision and life’s work is to bring the word of God to the people of Central India. Whilst India is well known for its spirituality, it is still a part of the world that that is very new to Christianity. His ministry touches the Korku village people of India.

The Korkus in Maharashtra came into the world’s media spotlight in 1992. The BBC came into the interior villages, reporting on children belonging to Korku tribe starving as the outside world looked on in amazement. Help came in the form of food packets and medicines through the World Health Organisation.

Since then, many voluntary organisations have stepped into the field like the Deepgruh foundation to help provide support, education and resources to a people that have been left behind.
